This is a fantastic, very performable translation by Tatum of three of Plautus' comedies. They are called darker because they all involve themes such as slavery, prostitution, and general manipulation of others. Modern audiences are often surprised at the raunchiness of these comedies. I love these translations because they are so successful at retaining the the life and relevance of this ancient work.
